Brewood-Stoke-Preston-Stoke-Brewood

by Becca44 @ Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 - 12:56:46 pm

It all started on a notmal friday night really at work, nothing out of the ordinary normal regulars in buying their usual shopping. Only odd thing that happened is that i managed to get through a very strong coffee (2.5 spoons) and a strong tea/.... it was all fine till i started to shake on shopfloor, gladly noone seemed to notice :)

So i returned from work and picked up my belongings, said good bye to mum and dad and headed towards the lovely place called Longton in the pooring rain. I reached here just before midnight and took part in the boys onion ring feast! I do have to admit at this point that after going to bed shortly after, i did not sleep till at least 4am mainly due to talking to a certain someone who was lying right next to me.. i mean i could hardly ignore him could i??? ;)

Getting up the next morning was an interesting thing, and it was soon decided to get the slightly later train (this turned out better as i still managed to catch an earlier connection train then i should have!). The main trouble was that i litrally ran up the stairs and straight onto the train as it pulled up and way! 8|

I reached Preston as i have already said, early!8| Shock horror im early! Well i have to say that i managed to find myway to kates halls all on my own, while kate got out of her pj's. After a trip to Morrisons and a little look round preston, a ood chatt and making tea we went down to kates local pub to watch the rugby. We did poorly as most people will know.. all went down hill when we got to 13!:o Back to the flat and had a very funny night playing poker and other variose card games.

Sunday morning saw us going to the union bar (i think it was that) and having something to eat and i had a lovely caramel coffee that i will not forget for a while :D
Back on my trains, all running on time :DD to longton where i was met by the slightly tramatised, shaun, who had been dragged into conversation by a random guy :-/

The rest of the evening was spent playing poker again (inc mingles help), cheat and cooking dinner. I have to say the sunday dinner was very impressive... very!

A busy weekend

by Becca44 @ Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 - 06:40:54 pm

I like busy weekends, only problem is that i tend to be shattered for the rest of the week. But i intend to go to sleep early tonight ;) will this work? i just hope so!

Anyway Friday night after work i headed to Tori's to sleep there and gerenally just have a girly night in with Tori, me, Kate and Kirstie, oww and a tub of ice cream and sprinkles. :DD
We were up saturday morning not too late but not too early, and the plan was to go into Birmingham to have a good look round. :) So we find our selfs in Birmingham after running for the bus and the train (good excersise ;) ). Really nice to just go and have a good wander round and have a good chatt and laugh along the way. :D

Anyway we get back to Tori's and cram my car with bedding and bags (i was impressed that it all fitted with all the pillows in it ) After dropping kate off home so that she could get the car we went home to mine to start to get ready for the night out and the pizza's that i was now cooking with Tori's help. After a little language course in 'Italian pitzeria' we settled down to wait.

Not long and people started to arrive :D I got a little over excited when i saw Shaun turn up on the back of Mikes bike but what can i say ;) Anyway we made a group of 10 in town and moved around 2 other places before we ended up in Blast off. The other two places (royal and cuban) were crammed with people. But then Cuban does do squashed frogs :p which are amazinly nice... ok a little too nice . Anyway ended up in Blast off, which is the civic hall till 3am. Its really nice in there and it somehow feels more safe in there than other places that you might go to. :)

The taxi ride home was also equally interesting. I booked a taxi for 7 of us to go home from town to Brewood before we left, to pck us up at 3am. Well 3am came and went and 5 or so mins latter we are beginning to worry slightly... no phone call to say its late etc so we ask how much a taxi would be (one thats passing) he starts high and suddenly shouts "ill do it for £20 " well the other taxi was going to cost £24 so we jumped at the price... on getting in he goes "so £25 to brewood then" he was greated with 7 crys of "you just said £20"!!! For £20 we made him work very hard, 7 of us all tried to have a different converstaion with him at the same time... as well as giving him the money in all cash and shaun dropping his tip all across the floor by mistake. He was shockingly quiet untill he asks how to get out of Brewood ( i tell him) and his lasting comment was "ok then, hopefully i wont end up in stoke!" :-/:| Anyway we didnt go to bed till 5.30... which comes to why i am so tired but i dont mind i had such a great night, i would do it again tomorrow :DD

14th Feb

by Becca44 @ Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 - 01:24:32 am

Right so i know that i have never really done anything for this certain day of the year (apart from it being a good excuse to go out with the girls) But this year i was invited to Stoke on Trent for a meal by Shaun. Accepting his offer was easy, espechally when it was compared to overtime at work :p

I got there a little late, due to rush hour traffic, but was then amazed at the meal that was produced in frount of my eyes. I was a little worried about this as i had been told certian things about the culanary skills that lerk in that house ;) BUt i have to say beef berguion was really tasty and i was very impressed.

Anyway the whole night was brillient and i really REALLY enjoyed it... sadly tonight was not as good as i was at work, oww well you cant have it all really and i get to see him on saturday as well so i cant complain, as we dont see each other everyday

Dudley Zoo

by Becca44 @ Sunday, Feb. 04, 2007 - 08:42:17 pm

On Friday night, after work i headed over to Stourbridge for a night in at Ann and Jon's with a selection of people.
The next morning with the remaining five people feeling a little delicate (or a little cold, acording to a certain someone ;) ) it was decided that a trip to Dudley zoo was called for! What a great idea it turned out to be. I had not been to the zoo since i was ickle and neither had most people. So off we went, parked up and paid for our tickets (2 adults and the 3 children hiding in the corner, as most of them were over age!) after a good few hours looking at the nice animals and some of the not so nice (eg snakes!:|) we headed to the penguin feeding... :)
By now it was getting a little cold so it was decided to go to weatherspoons for a cheapish meal to warm up etc. Then the night was completed by watching two films (well 1 and most of NOtting hill, all in all i have just had a very very good weekend ;) :D Thankyou :D
